A lindy hopper at the Savoy Ballroom, winner of the Harvest Moon Ball Lindy Hop Championship in 1940, Crawford danced with the Whitey's Lindy Hoppers and in famous performances with her partner Thomas 'Tops' Lee.

Popularly know for a performance of the 'tranky do' and a sequence of air steps in the film Policy Man (1938) (u.c.).

Tops and Wilda were Harvest Moon Ball winners in 1940.
